Inclement Weather Policy
In case of closing due to inclement weather or power outage be sure you are subscribed to our newsletter and signed up for our text alert system. To sign up, visit the Stay Connected Tab. When possible, a notice will be placed on the front door.
Age Policy
Fitness Areas
No children under the age of 12 are allowed in the fitness areas.
Youth ages 12-14 can utilize the fitness areas if a parent is present.
Youth ages 15 years and older can utilize the fitness areas without a parent present.
Gymnasium
Children ages 12 and up may be in The Cornwell Center without an adult to play basketball. Children MUST check in at the front desk and pay the $7 fee if they are not members.
Group Exercises Classes
Youth ages 16 years and older may attend a Group Exercise Class without a parent present.
Indoor Track
Children must be 12 to enter without an adult.
Fitness Areas

Guests
Members of the Cornwell Center are welcome to bring a guest to The Cornwell Center, however, guest must pay for the specific activity they are doing while visiting as well as sign in at the front desk.
Code of Conduct
The Cornwell Center at Myers Park Baptist Church is committed to providing a wholesome environment that ensures the highest respect and courtesy toward each member, a healthy atmosphere, and the proper use, maintenance and care of Cornwell Center property and equipment.
Members, guests, and staff are expected to maintain conduct that supports an environment that is:
- Smoke and drug free
- Free from profanity, verbal conflict, physical altercation and all forms of harassment
- Respectful of the property of members, staff and Myers Park Baptist Church
- Diverse and open to all
- Free from inappropriate sexual behavior
- Safe
Use of Cornwell Center facilities is a privilege. Individuals who do not adhere to the code of conduct will lose this privilege.
